ITEM NO. 1 -- APPROVAL OF AGENDA

Moved by Commissioner Davis, supported by Commissioner Arnold, to approve the agenda for the Special Meeting of August 30, 2006, as submitted.

ITEM NO. 2 – PUBLIC HEARING

	Location:	North side of Joy Road, east of Baywood Road, south of Ann Arbor Road, and west of Sheldon Road
	Zoning:	R-1, Single Family Residential District
	Action Requested:	Applicant is requesting approval of a Class “A” Designation to Permit the Reconstruction of a house destroyed by fire.

David Donnellon, architect and planner, and applicants John and Mary Ann MacLaren addressed the Commission and answered questions. The MacLarens stated their wish to rebuild their home on the existing foundation which extends 3.8 feet beyond the 40’ rear yard setback which falls within the powers of the Zoning Board of Appeals to grant. This addition was erected by the previous property owners without securing a permit.

Sally Hodges of McKenna Associates summarized the standards for a Class “A” designation.

Chairman Cebulski opened the public hearing at 7:17 p.m.

Patricia Guy noted the lack of objections by the neighbors and their wish to see the home rebuilt expeditiously.

There being no further public comment, Chairman Cebulski closed the hearing at 7:19 p.m.

Moved by Commissioner Davis, supported by Commissioner Sturdy, to approve the Class “A” designation requested in Application 1937/0806, John and Mary Ann MacLaren, for 44471 Marc Trail to permit reconstruction of their house destroyed by fire.
