Chairman Mann called the meeting to order at 4:02 p.m.

IV. Minutes of the February 10, 2003 meeting

Moved by Mrs. Karell, supported by Ms. Hovey, to approve the minutes of the meeting of February 10, 2003, as submitted. Ayes all.

V. Old Business

A. Site Plan Review: Schafer Development (Former Sunshine Honda)

After review of the plan presented by Mrs. Hodges of McKenna Associates, it was moved by Mr. Kolb, supported by Mrs. Ludtke, to relay approval to the Planning Commission of the design for Schafer Development (Former Sunshine Honda) submitted by McKenna Associates. Ayes all, with Mr. Bohlander abstaining.

B. Update on Ann Arbor Road TEA-21 Project

Terry Croad updated members on potential dates for the Ann Arbor Road TEA-21 Project.

C. Discussion of Traffic Signals and Mast Arms

In addition to the drawing of the traffic signals and mast arms which are still under moratorium, Mr. Croad also presented photographs of an alternative which was recently installed in Novi and drawings of another attractive alternative.

Authority members agreed on recommending the alternative drawing, with traffic signals strung from the decoratively lighted pole, with lighted street sign attached.

D. Status Report on utilization of existing poured concrete walls in lieu of new brick walls for screening.

Mr. Anulewicz noted he and Mr. Karell are continuing the investigation of using existing poured concrete walls. He suggested obtaining single-use cameras for members to keep handy for photographs of examples.

Mrs. Karell said she had seen an attractive example adjacent to the Ruby Tuesday’s Restaurant on Warren near Newburgh Road.

Mr. Bohlander moved to adjourn. Seconded by Mrs. Karell. Ayes all.

Mr. Mann adjourned the meeting at 5:02 p.m.
